Mainstream Cruise Lines offering Cruise Ship Waiter/ Waitress jobs: Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Princess Cruises, Holland America Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line/NCL / NCL America, P&O Cruises, P&O Cruises Australia, Costa Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, Mediterranean Shipping Cruises/ MSC Cruises, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, Star Cruises, Pullmantur Cruises, Aida Cruises, TUI (Mein Schiff) Cruises, Saga Cruises, CDF Croisieres de France and Saga Cruises.

These cruise lines have the largest ships and the biggest fleets, therefore the highest number of waiter/ waitress jobs.

Luxury Cruise Lines offering Cruise Ship Waiter/ Waitress jobs: Crystal Cruises, Cunard Cruise Line, Hapag Lloyd Cruises, Seabourn Cruises, Silversea Cruises, SeaDream Yacht Club, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Oceania Cruises, Azamara Club Cruises, Peter Deilmann Cruises, Paul Gauguin Cruises, NYK Cruises, The World Of Residensea.

These cruise lines run exclusive medium sized and small ships (with some exceptions), attracting more elite and upscale clientele. Each of these cruise lines also run a smaller number of ships, therefore they offer smaller number of waiter/ waitress jobs and the requirements for employment are somewhat higher. On the other hand the waiter/ waitress enjoys working on a luxury cruise vessel for a premium brand company and in most cases more diversed ship itineraries.

Budget Cruise Lines offering Cruise Ship Waiter/ Waitress jobs: Louis Cruise Line, Bahamas Celebration Cruise Line, Cruises & Maritime Voyages, easyCruise (Easy Cruise), Kristina Cruises, Thomson Cruises, Quail Cruises.

These cruise lines run medium sized (by today's standards) in many cases older ships. They offer lower number of waiter/ waitress jobs comparing to mainstream cruise lines and the job requirements are somewhat lower. Nevertheless working for these cruise lines could be a lot of fun (less demanding passengers, not as tight personnel regulations), also in general older cruise ships offer more specious crew cabins.

Specialty Cruise Lines offering Cruise Ship Waiter/ Waitress jobs: Abercrombie & Kent Cruises, Swan Hellenic Cruises, Voyages of Discovery, Spirit of Adventure Cruises, Lindblad Expeditions/ National Geographic, Orion Expedition Cruises, Blount Small Ships Adventures, African Safari Club Cruises, Compagnie des Iles du Ponant Cruises.

These cruise lines run either expedition type of cruise ships or voyages to some of the world's most remote and fascinating places focused on wildlife or cultural exploration. The usual onboard cruise diversions - casino gambling, bingo, bad hair day lectures and "sun'n'fun" activities poolside don't apply on these ships. These cruise lines offer significantly smaller number of waiter/ waitress jobs, but waiters/ waitresses could get a life-time experience if interested in those type of voyages.

Cruise Lines operating Tall Ships (ships with sails) offering Cruise Ship Waiter/ Waitress jobs: Sea Cloud Cruises, Windstar Cruises, Star Clippers, Club Med Cruises.

The Tall Ships are significantly small number then regular cruise ships, therefore offering very limited number of waiter/ waitress jobs. Great choice for adventure lovers, very difficult to obtain employment, though.
